Cushion cut diamond with small round brilliant diamonds "microset" all round. "Microset" means that each small diamond is precision set using a microscope so that it sits in its own individual prongs.
The picture shows a 1.2 carat H VVS2 cushion cut diamond.
Less than 1 in 1000 diamonds is cut in the cushion cut shape which varies from squarish to oblong but with soft corners. The majority of cushion cut diamonds are 1 or more carats.
This design would also work well with a princess cut diamond in the centre (see Design 1)
